Join the NYCLU in Defending Students’ Rights This Opt-Out Season!

High school students have the right to keep their personal information out of the hands of military recruiters. But time is short: September and October are the months when students can most effectively “opt out” of having their names included on recruiters’ lists. As the the deadline for opting out rapidly approaches, NYCLU street teams will provide students with the tools to end harassment from aggressive recruiters.

Join with the NYCLU in helping young people exercise their rights.

Two trainings for street team members will be held at the NYCLU offices in the coming weeks:
• Wednesday, September 27th at 6:30 pm; and
• Monday, October 2nd at 6:30 pm

Trainings will cover laws relevant to military recruitment and students’ rights; your right to leaflet outside of high schools on NYC streets; and leafleting techniques.
